September 1, 2010

Dear New USFL Fans,

I wanted to give you an update on the state of the New United States Football League.

In order to do this right we have had to deal with a great many challenges. I believe we are doing all the right things to bring you USFL fans the best product possible.

Everyone wants to know where will the teams be located and when will the season start?  Who is in the front office? Who will the owners be? That's just a few of the 100 or so questions we receive a day.

Without breaking any soon-to-be-signed deals, here's what we can share. The current locations we are looking to place teams:
Memphis, Orlando, Ohio, Nevada, Philadelphia & Los Angeles are all being held pending ownership.

Also under consideration for the next 2 to 6 spots are:
Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Utah, Tampa Bay, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, New York, New Jersey, Denver, New Orleans, Chicago, North Carolina & Portland. (Keep in mind the final selection of USFL cities could change.)

By the end of September 2010 we will know if we will be playing in 2011 with 6 to 8 teams or 2012 with 8 to 12 teams. The owner names will not be released until a total of eight have been approved.

The New USFL staff wants to thank you all for waiting on this to come to life. I know you have many more questions, and we will answer them once the deals are in place. I can't wait for you fans to see some of the great people that will be working in the New USFL's League office.

THE NEW UNITED STATES FOOTBALL LEAGUE WILL RETURN !!!
